JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Section Head (s) maintains the highest standards of nursing care for patients of all ages during diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to recognize basic EKG and laboratory values and take appropriate action. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking patterns and responds to emergent situations. Possess desire to work in a cohesive atmosphere and the ability to be flexible and adaptable in the workplace. Required Length and Type of Experience Minimum one year current Med/Surg experience. Telemetry experience preferred. Required Licensure, Certification or Registry Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. BCLS required. ACLS preferred or obtained within first year of hire. PALS certification for departments performing pediatric sedation. Required Physical and Environmental Demands Ability to work with radiation emitting equipment and wear appropriate protective garments. Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occcasionally lifts and carries items weighting up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
