RN - Radiology/Special Procedures

Job Summary:
The Special Procedures RN reports directly to the unit Clinical Manager, and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act, physicians’ orders, established policies and procedures, established professional standards, and administrative hospital-wide policies. 
Requirements:- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
- Current California Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS provider
- Minimum two years critical care nursing experience preferred
- Maintains Analgesia/Sedation Certificate of Competency
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Knowledge and practice of principles of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Participates in mandatory yearly inservices – i.e., Infection Control, Fire, Safety, etc.
- Responsible for awareness, basic knowledge of advances in field of expertise
