Administrative PACU/OR RN

We have an immediate full-time opening on our management team and are seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the clinical and administrative operations of our busy Ambulatory Surgical Center.


Unique balance of management and clinical responsibilities including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care to fertility patients in a surgical setting, oversight for operating room, procedure room and recovery room staff, ensuring staff provide the highest quality of care and are in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, AAAHC, JCAHO, federal, state, and local requirements, and some circulating nurse and recovery room nurse responsibilities to keep skills honed and current.


In addition, responsibilities include ensuring that OR and PACU recovery services meet physicians' and patients' needs; collaborating with physicians and other health care providers in establishing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating/improving patient care and quality service standards; acting as a patient advocate; and consistently supporting compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, daytime hours, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts.


The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field such as health care management, be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, possess a current Maryland RN license, and CPR & ACLS certification.


Prior OR and/or Recovery Room experience in ambulatory care setting or other relevant clinical experience in a facility of similar size and complexity required.


Also required is at least two years of supervisory experience and strong management and communication skills. Knowledge of the AAAHC accreditations requirements and quality system processes preferred.


Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and other local, state and federal regulations preferred and demonstrated strong interpersonal skills required. Prior experience with IVF/fertility patients a plus.
