Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides leadership in collaboration with the healthcare team to define and integrate best practice models for designated patient populations throughout the continuum of care. Serves as an expert in the areas of clinical practice, education and research. Improves patient outcomes by identifying processes that promote high quality, cost effective patient care. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia. A master's degree in Nursing or health related field. Five years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse which includes at least two years of recent years experience (within the last five years) in the area of concentration.
Preferred Qualifications strong Cardiology skills, will cover both unit 41 CCU and unit 41 stepdown unit, see details below
Additional Job Details Scope of Care/Service:

Unit 41 is a 38 bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit located on the fourth floor of the Peachtree Building. The Cardiac Telemetry Unit provides comprehensive health care on a 24 hour basis to adult inpatients with cardiovascular diagnoses, including, but not limited to: acute coronary syndrome, including non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), new onset of complicated ventricular or supraventricular arrhythmias, post pacemaker or ICD insertions, and chronic and acute heart failure (CHF). In addition, the unit provides acute care for pulmonary edema, respiratory or cardiac failure, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA), cardiac catheterization, arthrectomy, rotoblator, and carotid artery stenting.

41-ICU is a 12 bed Coronary Care Unit located on the fourth floor of the Peachtree Building. The Coronary Care Unit provides comprehensive health care on a 24 hour basis to critically ill adult inpatients with cardiovascular diagnoses, including, but not limited to: acute coronary syndrome, including non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), new onset of complicated ventricular or supraventricular arrhythmias, post pacemaker or ICD insertions, and chronic and acutely decompensated heart failure (CHF). In addition, the unit provides acute care for pulmonary edema, respiratory or cardiac failure, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA), cardiac catheterization, arthrectomy, rotoblator, and carotid artery stenting.
