GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound Nursing Practice procedures and practices to patients of all ages on assigned nursing unit; demonstrates competency in the behavioral, growth and development, and psychosocial needs of the population served.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing .
* BSN preferred.

Required Length and Type of Experience:
* One year related nursing experience required for PRN.

Required Licensure, Certification or Registry:
* Must be currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio .
* BCLS certification in all areas or must obtain same within probationary period.
* ACLS certification in Critical Care and Progressive Cardiac Care or must obtain same within first year of employment.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands:
* Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
* Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
* Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
