Experienced Oncology Nurse

A long standing large Outpatient Oncology Practice in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse to join their staff of 7 Oncologist, 2 NP’s and 19 RNs. They are known in their region to be the go-to place for Oncology. This nurse will be utilized as an Educator/Mentor for their nursing staff.

This 15000 sq ft facility sees 30-40 Therapeutic patients a day and 45 Chemo patients a day. They are involved in a number of clinical trials. Large Chemo floor ~ 18 chairs & 4 chair therapeutic, non chemo.

Business hours M-F 8-5.
No weekends.

This position functions in the role of expert clinician, educator, consultant and researcher in collaboration with the medical/nursing staff. This person will be responsible for staff development for seasoned and new employees as well as monitoring the clinical care of patients and providing clinical support to improve patient care and clinical outcome. Requires an Oncology professional that stays in touch with the latest evidence based practices and the ability to implement them into the current practice model.

Qualifications:
MSN preferred, BSN required
Looking for an experienced Oncology nurse with leadership skills and a passion for staff education and development.
5+ years of oncology nursing experience, 10 or more preferred
AOCN is required or can be obtained shortly after employment.
