ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ SKILLS:
- Manage the operations of the department/team jointly with the Lead Physicians through collaborating on care team budgets and targets through the appropriate use of decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
- Monitor the quality of patient care and environment in the team; evaluate; monitor care team compliance, and initiate improvement actions against the following: 1) Quality assurance standards (e.g. HEDIS, NCQA); 2) Customer satisfaction indicators (e.g. PSS, Patient complaints); 3) Service quality (e.g. Care Delivery Index); 4) Work force satisfaction (e.g. People Pulse Survey); Coordination of compliance and regulatory agency standards.
- Monitor employee performance and behavior, coach for performance.
- Initiate and monitor performance improvements plans, discipline team members, and monitor absenteeism of the team members.
- Ensure patient and employee safety.
- Manage the allocation of resources the team according to team financial performance goals and productivity standards.
- Coordinate and direct the team in all patient care activities
- Work with providers to ensure continuous quality care for our members, as well as address any needs or concerns the providers may have.
- Serve as a role model in the application of the nursing process, act as a resource to staff, and provide direct assistance and clinical support to team as needed.
- Adapts work organization to changing priorities.
- This position will float between Avon and Lakewood facilities.
