OverView:
FT Evenings 40 hrs 2:00pm - midnight work 4-10 hr shifts or 5-8 hr shifts Must possess a strong knowledge of nursing and healthcare as normally demonstrated through the completion of a bachelors degree in nursing. requires a current RN license in state of practice. Provides managerial and/or clinical support to patients and staff. Supervises employees and participates in selection, orientation, counseling, evaluation and staff scheduling. Responsible for staff competencies. Has 24 hour responsibility for the provision of high quality, safe and cost effective patient care, environmental control and customer service. This position is able to function as the Director of Nursing during his/her absence. Maintains a depth and breadth of clinical and management knowledge to advance the nursing profession. Inspires leadership skills in all nursing positions. Demonstrates clinical proficiency in the care of patients of age groups served by the assigned clinical units. Responsibilities:
This position provides 24 hour managerial and clinical support to patients and staff. Uses depth and breadth of clinical management knowledge to ensure the provision of high quality, safe, and cost effective patient care. Demonstrates clinical expertise and oversees the leadership of clinical, financial, and personnel management of the assigned areas.Demonstrates Service Excellence in daily activities by modeling Service Standards and by reinforcing efforts of others with positive feedback and recognition. Has the clinical competence and knowledge required to assess outcomes related to the age group(s) served in the assigned units

Qualifications:
Requires a registered nurse with a current Arizona license. Bachelors Degree in health care or related field preferred. Demonstrates leadership ability and at least three years of clinical experience relevant to the patient population and scope of care of the department is required. ACLS and BLS certification is required. The ability to build and maintain effective communication and working relationships with staff, physicians, patients and families is required. Must be able to meet the physical and mental demands of the job description.
