Provision of nursing care to the adult CV patients immediately post-operatively based upon the nursing process and for which educational background has provided nursing skills.  
Essential Functions:
  1. Takes into consideration age related factors when:
    • Delivering direct patient care through the nursing process
    • Guiding and coordinating patient/family health teaching.
  2. Monitors the activities of ancillary personnel.
  3. Participates in committees as necessary.
  4. Participates in performance improvement activities.
 

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  2. Current Florida RN licensure.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theories and practice.
  4. Previous ICU experience in Open hearts perferred.
  5. Completes skills checklist within 90 days of employment
  6. ACLS certification required.
  7. Passing score of 80 on the Critical Care Competency Exam
