Acute Care Hospital located in Central California is seeking an additional Registered Nurse for their Cath Lab department. The RN will assess patient and family needs, develop a plan of care based on assessment, direct implementation of the plans of care for a group of patients, collaborate with the charge nurse and care team, and evaluate effectiveness of the care plan. Duties will include administration of medications, performing prescribed treatments, managing medical equipment, assisting with patient ADL (activities of daily living) including lifting, turning, and mobilizing patients.
Minimum Requirements: •Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate. •Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate. •Sixty-four (64) current education hours in critical care theory including Cardiac, ECG monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation, Hemodynamics, Respiratory and Ventilation, Vasoactive Medications, Endocrine, and Renal, combined with a preceptorship. •One (1) year Critical Care/Emergency Department experience. •Two (2) years recent Telemetry experience OR three (3) years recent Nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications: •Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. •National certification in area of specialty. •Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate. •Association with American Cardiology Nurses Association or other related professional organization.
