RN needed for Cardiac Cath Lab for day shift. Pre and post op, assessments, pull sheaths, IV's, administer conscious sedation, etc.
Client is a 200+ bed, acute care hospital accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The facility is also certified by the American Heart Association as a GWTG (Get with the Guidelines) facility which recognizes hospitals for care of patients with coronary artery disease. Client offers a full range of services including intensive care, medical/surgical care, orthopedics, gastroenterology, OB/GYN, urology, E.N.T., endocrinology, and diagnostic imaging.
Description
Responsible/accountable for management of the patient and provision of care utilizing the nursing process, environment, instrumentation, and other health care team members. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Provides quality patient care in accordance with MVRMC policies and procedures and established patient care standards and practice.
Education:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Current Licensure in professional nursing from State Board of Nursing.
Experience:
• Required: Twenty- four (24) months of recent Intensive Care or cardiac related experience.
• Preferred: Minimum of two (2) years experience in a Cath lab.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skill to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
Licenses/Certificates:
• Current professional nursing license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)—if not currently certified at the time of hire, must complete first course offered.
