OverView:
Arizona RN license, Master's Degree and certification as ClinicalNurse Specialist are required. Prefer 10 years clinical experience in acute care. Responsibilities:
A master's-prepared expert practitioner who acts primarily as a clinical resource on the specialized care of complex patients (see attachment for a description of the patient population each CNS is a resource for). Utilizes competencies in coaching, education, consultation, research, collaboration and leadership within the three spheres of influence to optimize the care of this patient population. Ethics expertise, safety advocacy and cultural diversity competence are integral within all aspects of expert practice.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing; Current professional registered nurse licensure and Clinical Nurse Specialist certification in good standing with the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Three or more years of clinical nursing experience as a professional nurse in specialty. Must have excellent verbal and written communication and education skills, good organizational and facilitation capability, as well as leadership and mentoring qualities.
