The Registered Nurse Surgical Procedure Service Line Manager is responsible for the daily operation of our Surgical Services including the management and coordination of all preoperative and postoperative services.
The responsibilities include 24-hour accountability for day-to-day management and long term planning of the surgical patient care areas across all departments within the hospital, including: surgery, pulmonary, GI, respiratory, radiology, laboratory, and patient procedural scheduling. The incumbent into this newly revised position will also be responsible for planning, implementing and evolving the Surgical Information System.
Surgical services department includes two operating rooms and a PACU. Patients come an average of 500 miles to visit the hospital and see the very dedicated physicians and surgeons. Very tight-knit team!
Minimum Qualifications: • Progressively responsible management experience in a surgical services environment required; Current State Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License preferred. • Minimum of 5 years Clinical Management experience required. • Strong organizational, verbal and written skills required. • Must be competent in the use of Microsoft Office (or a similar system); prior work experience using with computerized clinical management system required.
